The boxy Jaecoo EJ6 has made its appearance at the 12th Philippine EV Summit at the SMX Convention Center. Slated for a market release “soon,” the EJ6 is available for test drives and pre-orders at the three-day show.
Known in China as the iCar 03, the Jaecoo EJ6 dons an “off-road trendy” design with full electric power. It comes in two versions—the first is a rear-wheel drive, single-motor setup with 184 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque, while the second is an all-wheel drive with dual motors with 278 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque.
The EJ6 RWD packs a 65.69-kWh (usable) lithium-iron phosphate battery offering a range of 421 kilometers, while the AWD has a slightly larger battery—69.77-kWh (usable) for a similar 421 kilometers of range. With an 80-kW fast charging battery, EJ6 takes only 30 minutes to charge from 30 to 80 percent. The car also boasts a V2L (vehicle to load) functionality. At its fastest configuration, 0 to 100 km/h is done in just 6.5 seconds.
Measuring in at 4,342 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,741 mm in height, the EJ6 sports a wheelbase of 2,715 mm. It comes with features such as a 9.2-inch digital instrument panel, a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, a 50-watt Qi wireless charger, a panoramic glass roof, and an optional 12-speaker Infinity sound system.
“We are excited to introduce to the Philippine market another innovation that exhibits Jaecoo’s global automotive engineering DNA. We are optimistic that the arrival of EJ6 in the Philippines will help usher in a new era of sustainable mobility in the country,” said Marco Chen, Country Director of Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines.
