Mark your calendars as Mazda will globally unveil the refreshed 2025 BT-50 on October 18. This was revealed officially in a teaser by Mazda Australia.
Considered as lead market for the Mazda pickup truck, the teaser shows that the 2025 BT-50 will gain revised aesthetics. This is shown by the new headlight design that echoes the current CX-5 as well as what looks to be the largest front emblem ever put on a Mazda vehicle.
Official details are scarce, but Mazda is promising a comprehensive redesign inside and out. It will also carry enhancements to its Human Machine Interface (HMI), safety, and functionality features.
Since the BT-50 is co-engineered with Isuzu, it is safe to assume that it will have carryover powertrains which include a 3.0-liter turbo diesel with 190 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Transmissions will likely remain the same with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. Since Isuzu also unveiled a mild hybrid version of the D-Max, there is also a chance that the BT-50 will also get this electrified powertrain too.
No need to darken, camouflage or obscure the front silhouette, no suspense there as we all know all Mazda's whether they are sedans or crossovers or pick ups look the same, no thanks to that eternal grill design. To be fair, while they are getting monotonous, they are better off than today's futuristic and outrageous designs of most EV cars.
ReplyDeleteSuch an underrated truck especially that it uses isuzu's 4jj3 engine.
