At Your Service: Mitsubishi Quezon Avenue Offers The Hallmarks Of A Lasting Relationship

With all the official—and informal—channels to acquire a vehicle these days, virtually anyone can sell you a car; it’s a one-time transaction that be either a mundane or great experience, depending on the vendor.

After the initial excitement has subsided, it’s time to take your new Mitsubishi vehicle to the dealer for its first scheduled service.

If you’ve been diligent about reading your Mitsubishi’s owner’s manual, you already know that taking your new vehicle to the dealer for service achieves two very important things: it preserves the new vehicle’s warranty, and ensures that the vehicle meets the maintenance standards and life expectancy set by Mitsubishi.

This is where Gateway Group Mitsubishi dealers have built a shining reputation, and of all the Mitsubishi service centers, the recently-relocated Mitsubishi Quezon Avenue shines the brightest.
On taking your Mitsubishi vehicle to the Quezon Avenue dealership, one might have the good fortune of meeting the General Manager, Randie Tungol. Tungol seems the unassuming, soft-spoken type, until he introduces himself with a firm handshake while looking you confidently in the eye; a silent assurance that your vehicle will be in good hands.

Tungol humbly shares, “We opened the doors of this dealership on November 12, 2021 – right in the middle of the pandemic. In just more than two years of operation, we are really very happy to have served a lot of Mitsubishi customers not only here in Quezon City, but also from as far as Baguio in the North, in spite of the presence of dealerships in those provinces. We continue to improve our services and we also evolve in our way of attracting customers.”

Tungol is referring to the dealership’s highly capable staff, cozy and relaxing reception area, and one-of-a-kind coffee kiosk—all Gateway trademarks—as the key advantages of Mitsubishi Quezon Ave over the other auto dealerships in Quezon City’s automobile row.

From its former location, it’s now located at the corner of Quezon and Araneta Avenues, the 3,100 square-meter lot on which Mitsubishi Quezon Ave sits is several times deeper than its façade suggests. Behind the spacious, five-vehicle showroom is an enormous, 2,000-plus square-meter service area with 20 bays and 17 lifters, plus several collision repair cubicles and fully-sealed, dust-free paint booths.

Mitsubishi QA Aftersales Manager Vic Bayan said, “Our service center can perform a quick vehicle service in only one and a half hours, provided that the vehicle owner has already an approved appointment schedule, and all the parts are available.

“We are aggressive on our appointment services, in which our telemarketers have a database of all vehicles that come out of this dealership. After a quick estimate, priority is set for an appointment. Walk-in service customers have to wait for their turn to be attended to,” Bayan added.
MQA’s service center can accommodate at least 32 units a day from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Sunday.

“Since we already have an established reputation, some of our clients come from as far as Isabela or Pangasinan,” Bayan concluded.

Despite the challenges of opening a new auto dealership in the middle of a pandemic, Tungol and his team worked relentlessly to overcome unfavorable business conditions, selling several vehicles everyday when others dealers were struggling to sell one per day.

More than 3,000 Mitsubishi vehicles have been sold by the dealership ahead of its third-year anniversary, with more in the pipeline, making MQA the top-of-mind choice dealership among loyal customers of the iconic brand.

As for model uptake, Tungol observed that, “The Mirage is one of the perennial best-sellers, but the Xpander is fast catching up, and the re-engineered L300. These days, we are pushing the very powerful and head-turning Triton and the XForce,”

“With passion that fuels service, commitment that drives quality, and integrity built on trust. Together, these values empower us to make a meaningful difference in service we provide,” said Gateway Group Aftersales Head Jho Tingzon.

Michael Goho, EVP of the Gateway Group, exclaimed, “We are very proud of Mitsubishi Quezon Avenue as it exemplifies the true flagship Mitsubishi dealership as envisioned by MMPC. We adhere to the systems and standards set by the brand and what we add is our prompt services and focus to our growing clients.

“We’ve created a harmonious and efficient atmosphere here that would translate to smooth relations with our clients. We continuously aim for more customer-centricity in sales and aftersales,” added Goho, expressing his pride in the 111-odd trusted associates working for MQA, many of whom have been with the dealership since 2021.

Mitsubishi Quezon Avenue is at 113 Quezon Ave corner Araneta Ave and accepts walk-in service customers, though booking a service appointment ahead of time is highly recommended. The service center is open as early as 7 AM and may be reached through +63 917 542 4253.

  1. In the past, the Diamond Auto showroom in Cainta, Rizal had Mitsubishi being sold along with Hyundai but with their showrooms being separated instead, afterwards, it was replaced by Tata and now Dongfeng - Mitsubishi in fact is quite like the Mother Teresa of carmaking because it not only helped Hyundai to go big. (But also what Hyundai achieved with Mitsubishi's assistance should have been what Nissan emulated after the latter acquired Mitsubishi Motors in 2016.)
