Just in time for the Undas long weekend, Petron Corporation switches on its first EV charger. Located at Petron KM 23 Northbound in Marilao, Bulacan, it’s the first public EV charger located on the North Expressway (NLEX).
Under the new Petron Power Up brand, this public EV charger can service two vehicles simultaneously using a 60-kW DC fast charger using the CCS2 and CHAdeMO connectors. With that, a typical EV can be topped up from 20 to 80 percent in around 40 minutes.
CCS2 is used by the vast majority of EVs available in the Philippines including European and Korean makes, while CHAdeMO is the preferred standard used by Japanese brands such as Nissan and Mitsubishi.
Petron Power Up will soon add GB/T and Type 2 (AC connectors) soon.
Open 24 hours, Petron Power Up KM 23 NB Marilao, Bulacan charges a rate of P 25 per kWh.
Yes kudos Petron!
ReplyDelete25 kWh? That's expensive but still cheaper than gas.
ReplyDeleteWhat’s the rate of Shell?
DeleteP 35 per kWh based on the last published rate.
DeleteIt used to be P 65 per minute of charging
DeleteSo Petron is much much cheaper
DeletePetron's rate is introductory though, take note.
Delete60 kw chargers are kinda slow. If 2 EV's charge 30kw nalang. Maybe there's a electrical supply constraint.
ReplyDeletePhp 25 per kWh at Petron with 60 kWh Charging Speed
ReplyDeletePhp 35 per kWh at Shell with 180 kWh Charging Speed
