PIMS: 2025 Honda Civic Line Tops Out At P 1.990M

Shown at the One Honda Electrification event last September, Honda Cars Philippines has now officially launched the new 2025 Civic for the Philippine market.

The best-selling compact sedan joins the CR-V as part of Honda’s full hybrid line-up with the addition of the RS e:HEV variant. And like the CR-V, Honda has opted to retain not just one, but two Civic variants powered by the turbocharged 1.5-liter for 2025.

Focusing on the Civic RS e:HEV, it uses an Atkinson cycle 2.0-liter motor mated to an E-CVT. Also found in the CR-V RS e:HEV, it puts out a combined 184 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque making it the most powerful Civic variant as well as the most powerful compact hybrid available locally. Moreover, Honda is able to do something on the Civic RS e:HEV that they couldn’t do on the CR-V RS e:HEV: provide a spare tire. This is down to a smaller lithium-ion battery (1.05-kWh versus 1.4-kWh in the CR-V) situated in a structure between the rear seats and trunk.

On the other hand, the turbocharged variants retain the services of the 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine mated to a CVT. Unchanged, it makes 178 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque.

Across the entire Civic range, changes for 2025 include a restyled grille with hexagonal inserts. On both RS trims, it keeps the same gloss-black accents found on the door handles, mirror, and rear spoiler.

Five colors are available the 2025 Civic:
  • Canyon River Blue Metallic – RS e:HEV exclusive
  • Crystal Black Pearl – all variants
  • Platinum White Pearl – all variants
  • Meteoroid Gray Metallic – RS Turbo and V Turbo only
  • Ignite Red Metallic – RS Turbo only
Inside, the new Civic stays close to the current model, but all variants now sport a larger 9-inch infotainment touchscreen with built-in Google Services. With no built-in SIM, users will have to tether their smartphones to gain access to Google services and apps such as Google Maps and YouTube. This is in addition to an updated version of Honda Connect which adds advanced telematics functionalities.

Other new features include parking sensors and USB Type C charging ports.

On the Civic RS models, there’s further differentiation thanks to red accents that surround the full-length dash insert. The same red accents are found on the leather/suede seats. The RS models also benefit from wireless device charging and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

In terms of safety, Honda Sensing comes as standard, bundling Collision Mitigation Braking (CMBS), Lane Keep Assist (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Auto High Beam (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow (LSF), and Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN).

As for pricing, it’s as follows:
  • 2025 Honda Civic V Turbo – P 1,600,000
  • 2025 Honda Civic RS Turbo – P 1,790,000
  • 2025 Honda Civic RS e:HEV – P 1,990,000
To entice buyers, Honda Cars Philippines is waiving the reservation fee for the Civic RS e:HEV variant from October 24 to 31, 2024.

    1. You want high ground clearance? Get an SUV. What a dumb statement.

  2. HCPI will further go down the drain with this kind of pricing

  3. Hilarious and ridiculous pricing by HCPI
It'll rot at Honda car dealerships and only gonna sell two digit units per month
MG4 XPower is a much better buy than Civic RS Hybrid

    1. Different target audience. Electric vs hybrid. Hybrid is more feasible for those who go out of town more often as you can't charge easily in the provinces.

  4. honda has a record for over pricing its cars. look at the honda legend... did not stand a chance. if corolla prices dont go up, this car will languish in showrooms

  5. I have a feeling Honda doesn't want to sell you these cars, with the prices they are charging.

  6. At that price? I'd rather buy a pick-up.

  7. 200k difference of RS turbo vs RS Hybrid? How come? 100k-120k would've been enough.
