PIMS: Chery Auto PH To Unveil New Tiggo 2 Pro (Max) And Tiggo 5x Pro

Crank up the iPhone jokes because Chery Auto Philippines is unveiling the new Tiggo 2 Pro Max at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) this October 24 to 27, 2024 at the World Trade Center.

Now on its 9th year, PIMS continues to be the leading platform for the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) to showcase its various member brands, communicate its messaging on the current state and potential future of the automotive industry, boost sales of its member brands, and create stronger partnerships with industry leaders.

At this year’s PIMS, Chery will unveil the new Tiggo 2 Pro Max (known simply as the new Tiggo 2 Pro in the Philippines) and a sneak peek at the new Tiggo 5x Pro.

Chery says that its new Tiggo 2 Pro offers more reasons to drive forward in life in terms of practicality, technology, and style.

Though nothing has been confirmed yet, the Tiggo 2 Pro Max in other countries comes powered by a normally-aspirated 1.5-liter 4-cylinder making 114 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque. It comes with a 9-speed CVT and two drive modes—Eco and Normal.

Key features include four-wheel disc brakes, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, smart keyless entry, and a sunroof. In terms of infotainment, it has either a 9 or 10.25-inch touchscreen with support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For the driver, he gets a 7-inch color display.

During the four-day motor show, Chery Auto Philippines will immediately offer test drives of the new Tiggo 2 Pro as well as the Tiggo 5x Pro Hybrid, Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid, and the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV.

The Chery Tiggo Crossovers volleyball team will also be making their appearance on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

  1. The weirdest one here is the "x" of 5x Pro. Was there even a Tiggo 5 to begin with? "Pro" could connote a next gen or face lift.
