PIMS: Jetour X50, T2 Terminator To Make Philippine Debut

Jetour Auto Philippines will be unveiling two new models at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

Confirmed by the brand, they will be unveiling the X50 compact crossover (top photo) and a new variant to their T2 dubbed the T2 Terminator.

The X50 will become Jetour Auto Philippines’ smallest offering with an overall length stretching just 4,397 mm long. With a width of 1,841 mm and a height of 1,654 mm, the X50 is positioned directly against the likes of the Honda HR-V and Mitsubishi Xforce, size-wise.

In terms of styling, the most eye-catching detail of the X50 is its “Baleen” grille flanked by Eagle Eye LED headlights. Meanwhile, inside, it comes with features including a 10.25-inch infotainment screen (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in foreign markets) and leather seating.

Powering the Jetour X50 is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine making 156 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. This is mated to a 6-speed dual clutch automatic. Unique in its class, it also rides on all-around independent suspension with MacPherson Struts at the front and Multi-Links at the back.

Miguelito Jose, JAPI Managing Director declared, “Welcome to the wonderful world of Jetour Auto here at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show, where we proudly introduce the newest additions to our renowned roster of vehicles. You’ll see the Jetour brand everywhere here at PIMS.”

“The 9th PIMS gives us the free hand to showcase our brand to both loyal and new customers alike, and our display setup at the show gives visitors an easier time to find our booth and displays,” said JAPI Marketing Director Cherry May De Los Santos. “We cannot wait to welcome event goers to our display and give them a unique, hands-on, and memorable experience,” she added.

Joining the X50 is the T2 Terminator which is a new variant to Jetour’s surprise hit, the T2 4x4. The Terminator will be fitted either with an Outdoor or Executive kit meaning it’ll sport features such as roof-mounted lighting, added body cladding, and beefier alloy wheels.

These two debuts aside, Jetour is also highlighting its Dashing Lightning i-DM PHEV and its Jetour Ice Cream EV both of which are available for test drives, along with the T2 4x4.
