Under Its New Distributor, Volvo Is Displaying The XC40 Recharge And C40 Recharge At The 12th Philippine EV Summit

Volvo Cars, under its new distributor, Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc., will be displaying the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge at this year’s Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit.

As the Philippines’ largest annual event dedicated exclusively to electric mobility, the EV Summit is a platform to accelerate the conversation on sustainability and innovation in transport.

Volvo will be highlighting its “For Life” philosophy—a focus on creating a better, safer world with people and sustainability at the center.

At the EV Summit, the XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge will show how Volvo delivers a premium yet eco-friendly driving experience without compromising safety or convenience. Equipped with advanced battery technology, these Volvo EVs deliver up to 549 kilometers of range (537 kilometers for the XC40 Recharge), ensuring that drivers spend more time on the road and less time charging. A fast charge capability of just 27 minutes (10 to 80 percent using a 200-kW DC charger) allows for swift recharging, adding to the convenience of all-electric driving.

Safety is a hallmark of the Volvo brand, and these electric models are no exception. Both vehicles are designed with a range of cutting-edge safety technologies, including: Adaptive Cruise Control with Pilot Assist, Blind Spot Information System, 360-degree Camera, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Collision Warning, Run-off Mitigation System, and Slippery Road Alert System. These features not only enhance the driving experience but also empower drivers to navigate confidently, maintain full awareness of their surroundings, and respond swiftly to potential hazards.

The 12th Philippine EV Summit is happening from Thursday, October 24 to Saturday, October 26 at the SMX Convention Center, MOA Complex, Pasay City. Admission is free, but registration (on-site or advanced) is required.

  1. the name Hariphil is sad. Can't move on from the name "Hyundai Asia Resources Inc" and also can't move on from an image of bad management.
