This 7-seater has undergone major changes that only made it more enticing for buyers looking to move up to an MPV or have their first family car. The Captiva has an all-LED lighting system segmented into the Daytime Running Light strip flanking the sleek grille, low-mounted headlights, and the slim tail lights. Up top it’s available with a huge panoramic sunroof while the skirts are complemented by the 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
3. Power on Tap
Some might say the Captiva’s design is a bit demure or muted, but its powertrain is something of a brute. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired to a CVT driving the front wheels. It produces 150 PS and 255 Nm of torque, more than enough to get you up in the steep parking of malls and onto the mountains of Baguio.
Complementing that power are Auto Hold on the Electronic Parking Brake to help ease your right leg’s tension during traffic. It also has Cruise Control for highway driving, and Hill-Start Assist to assist you on inclines.

The Captiva’s modern appeal isn’t only on exterior styling but cabin functionality as well. The driver will get to enjoy the 7-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, 6-way Power Adjustable Seat, Heated Side Mirrors, Day and Night Rear View Mirror with USB outlet for any dashcam you might install, Passive Entry System with the Smart Key, and the 10.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that will certainly make Waze very easy to see.
Passengers will also enjoy the other features in the cabin. There’s leather upholstery as standard, light on the sun visors, USB ports in all rows, Automatic Climate Control, and of course the spacious cabin.

It’s available in 2 variants and they share a lot of key features that even the LTZ base trim will look like a mid-variant when compared to its rivals.

In addition to the safety features I mentioned previously, the two also have the same 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, 7-inch Digital Instrument Cluster, Leather Seats, Powered Speed Sensing Door Locks, 10.4-inch Touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Passive Entry System, Push Start Button, and Cruise Control.
Chevrolet made sure going for the top trim would be worth it. You’ll have additional Automatic Headlight Control, 6-way Power Adjustable Driver’s Seat, Automatic Climate Control, Panoramic Sunroof, and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold.
The Chevrolet Captiva starts at P1,258,000 for the LT and P1,408,000 for the top of the line Premier. It comes with Chevrolet’s 5-year or 100,000km warranty, whichever comes first, and is available in White, Gray, Red, and Black.
