BBS Germany Closes Its Plant

After filing for bankruptcy last July, BBS Autotechnik GmbH (aka BBS Germany) closed their factory and will cease to exist. All employees have been laid off and distributors are now simply selling off their remaining inventories.

BBS Germany is the manufacturer of cast and flow-formed wheels not just for aftermarket, but OE application as well.

Thankfully, the move has no effect on the rest of BBS’s operations. BBS Japan, the manufacturer of forged wheels and the owner of BBS Motorsport, is not affected by BBS Germany’s closure.

However, the closure of BBS Germany means that for customers looking for flow-formed and cast wheels will have one less option. This means the discontinuation of BBS lines such as:
  • BBS CCR
  • BBS CH-R
  • BBS CH-R II
  • BBS CH-R Nurburgring Edition
  • BBS CH-R ZV
  • BBS CI-R
  • BBS CI-R Nurburgring Edition
  • BBS SR
  • BBS SX
  • BBS XR
