How’s this for a shocker: Toyota is ending production of the A90 GR Supra in 2025 and as a farewell, it just released this: the Supra A90 Final Edition. Limited to just 300 units globally, the Supra A90 Final Edition boasts numerous driving-related upgrades including more power.
The “ultimate version” of the GR Supra brings know-how Toyota and Gazoo Racing gathered from their participation in various motorsports activities. Its twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-6 now generates 95 more horsepower (435 horsepower) and 70 Nm more torque (570 Nm). This allows the GR Supra A90 Final Edition to reach a faster top speed of 270 km/h (up 20 km/h). This has been achieved by revising the intake air path, adapting the low-back-pressure catalyst for reduced pressure loss and optimizing engine controls. The sole gearbox is, of course, a 6-speed manual.
The A90 Final Edition also gets damping-force-adjustable KW suspension with 16 rebound and 12 compression stages. In addition, there are more cornering improvements such as an adjusted camber angle of the front and rear wheels, which also increases grip, and optimization of the active differential control to reduce understeer.
The steering too has been tweaked with a more direct feel via a tweaked steering rack. Plus, there are various body reinforcement braces, including strengthened crossbar in the rear luggage space, the same rigid aluminum mount for the rear subframe as used on the GR Supra GT4 and strengthened front and rear stabilizers.
Peek at the wheel wells, and you’ll find 10 mm wider Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 19s at the front and 20s at the back. The TGR engraved lightweight wheels also hide 19-inch Brembo brakes (front) with drilled rotors front and back. It also gains stainless steel mesh brake hoses too.
To maintain peak performance alongside the improved cornering and higher engine output, a baffle plate has been added to the engine oil pan to prevent uneven oil distribution under higher g-forces, while cooling has been increased by strengthening the radiator cooling fan, adding a sub-radiator, and enlarging the differential gear cover cooling fins.
The GR Supra A90 Final Edition sports a matte black color as well as extensive aero developed by Toyota Gazoo Racing. These include a carbon fiber front spoiler, front canards, and front center flap as well as a GT4-style carbon-fiber swan-neck rear wing. A new carbon-fiber duct on the hood features a removable inner element for extra cooling when removed. Also taking a cue from the GR Supra GT4, the A90 Final Edition features an Akrapovič titanium muffler.
Inside, the driver-focused interior features Recaro Podium CF full-bucket seats, with racy red color and Alcantara seat pads, to maintain optimum driving position and comfort, even under higher g-forces. Red seat belts, exclusive carbon fiber scuff plates and extensive Alcantara trim, including the driver-focused steering wheel, emphasize the exclusivity of the limited-edition model.
