Before its wider release as part of Gran Turismo 7’s January update, the high-performance all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 5 N made its debut at the Gran Turismo World Series (GT World Series) 2024 Finals where it ran in the Qualifying Time Trial session.
As the first high-performance EV from the Hyundai N brand, the Ioniq 5 N symbolizes the execution of the company’s electrification strategy, the ‘Hyundai Way’, which promotes flexible electrification.
The Ioniq 5 N uses Hyundai Motor’s advanced electrification technology to maximize driving performance. With its high-performance four-wheel drive system, it boasts 650 horsepower and a maximum torque of 770 Nm from its dual electric motors. Its 84-kWh high-output battery and a high-performance EV-specific thermal management control system help to provide consistent driving performance.
For those who happened to view the GT World Series 2024 Finals, the in-game Ioniq 5 N is being offered as a special reward as part of the Viewers Gift campaign (until December 16). The reward will be distributed after Gran Turismo 7’s next update.
Moving forward, Hyundai says they will develop various Hyundai N models in Gran Turismo 7 so that more people can experience the Korean automaker’s high-performance brand in a virtual space. They will also collaborate in the furtherment of esports as well.
