Since its launch in 2018 as the Binyue in China, the Coolray has been sold to over 50 countries. In just nine months, it sold 100,000 units. The following year, sales expanded internationally helping Geely set up a strong presence in countries such as the Philippines.

In 2023, Geely revamped the Coolray improving its performance, technology, and comfort features. This helped it secure a Top 3 position among all brands in Kuwait, while also boosting its sales in the United Arab Emirates by 80.1 percent.

The new Coolray is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and a new-generation 7-speed wet-type dual clutch automatic. Its 7.6-seconds 0 to 100 km/h time stamps its authority as the segment’s best-in-class, performance-wise.

It refreshed design captures the spirit of energy with its black grille with red accents, re-designed taillights, and 18-inch “Tomahawk” wheels with red brake calipers. In Eastern Europe, where winter conditions are harsh, heating is provided in front seat, rear seat, steering wheel and more, ensuring a comfortable driving experience.
