Refreshed 2025 Hyundai Creta Arrives In ASEAN With Available Turbo Power

After its global debut in India, the refreshed 2025 Creta has also made its way to Indonesia. And since Indonesia is the source of the Creta for the Philippine market, expect it to arrive sometime this year too.

As far as refreshes go, the updates to the Creta are substantial. It gets a more upright hood, revised bumpers with an integrated skid plate element, new headlights, and DRLs that span the entire front-end. The rear has been equally revamped with end-to-end LED taillights and a bumper with the same built-in skid plate treatment. Capping off the changes are new 16-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the Creta N Line dons N Line specific bumpers, dual exhausts, and 18-inch alloy wheels with 215/60R18 tires.

For 2025, the Creta comes in seven colorways with three of them two-tone. On the other hand, the Creta N Line has five shades with three being two-tone.

The Philippines will likely echo the powertrain options seen in the Indonesian market Creta. The standard engine is carried over from the previous Creta—a 1.5-liter MPI 4-cylinder engine that generates 115 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. This mated to either a 6-speed manual or Hyundai’s IVT gearbox. The big news is the arrival of the powerful Creta N Line. Its turbocharged 1.5-liter Smartstream GDi engine puts out 160 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 253 Nm of torque from as low as 1,500 rpm. This one is mated to a sportier 7-speed DCT.

Like its exterior, the 2025 Creta has been substantially changed inside. The dashboard is completely new and seamlessly integrates the digital gauge cluster and infotainment screen—like what’s already seen in other Hyundai models. The AC control cluster has been revised and so are the seats with its contrasting color elements and piping detail. The rear seats continue to offer a two-step reclinable feature and can be folded down in a 60/40 split. The N Line is further differentiated by its unique steering wheel, shift knob, and seats.

Features on the new Creta include ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, a power tailgate, an air purifier built into the center console, and even an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

In terms of safety, the Hyundai SmartSense suite gives the Creta Level 2 autonomous driving capability. The suite includes Forward Collision Assist with Junction Turning support, Forward Collision Warning (with cyclist and pedestrian detection), Blind Spot Collision Warning with Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Following Assist, Safe Exit Warning, High Beam Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go support.

The refreshed Creta also spawned an all-electric variant. No word if ASEAN will also be getting this.

  1. Ang hirap mamili if eto or yung seltos. Mas lamang yung styling ng seltos pero china-sourced na ang mga local units, not korea cbu anymore unlike before.

  2. Creta more refined than seltos, hyundae ph now managed directly by hyundae korea. kia ph managed by AC motors, AC motors also mismanaged VW ph.
