Ferrari 12Clindri Arrives In The Philippines With A P 43.9-Million Starting Price

After we drove it in Luxemburg last year (watch our review), the Ferrari 12Cilindri has arrived in the Philippines. Inspired by the Prancing Horse’s legendary grand tourers of the 1950s and 60s, the 12Cilindri is the newest mid-front-engined Ferrari V12 that combines performance with elegance and design.

The starting price is a cool P 43.9-million, although the example you see in these photos is reportedly packing options that brought the price up to more than P 50-million. The 12Cilindri Spider (the convertible) is also available for orders.

What you get is Ferrari’s legendary 6.5-liter V12. The no-BS engine doesn’t have any form of electrification or turbocharging and still packs 830 horsepower and 678 Nm of torque. This gives it a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in less than 7.9 seconds, and a top speed of 340 km/h. Apart from a modified software that shapes the torque curve (Aspirated Torque Shaping), the V12 adopts titanium con rods, revised alloy for the pistons, and a rebalanced crankshaft. This is connected to an 8-speed DCT.

Other bits found in Ferrari’s modern range of high-performance sportscars make their way to the 12Cilindri as well: the brake-by-wire system, the 6D chassis sensors, active dampers, and four-wheel steering.

The silhouette is decidedly more sci-fi in appearance, but remains clean thanks to underbody aerodynamic solutions. The rear, for example, doesn’t have a spoiler but rather two active flaps that are integrated with the rear windshield. This allows it switch between Low Drag or High Downforce. Standard are forged 21-inch wheels with 275/35R21 tires at the front and 315/35R21 tires at the back.

Inside, the Ferrari 12Cilindri continues with the brand’s dual cockpit architecture. For the 12Cilindri, however, the interior has been split into three levels with the use of color and materials to clearly define each area. The driver benefits from Ferrari’s newest HMI interface with a central 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 15.6-inch driver display, and an 8.8-inch “co-pilot” display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard equipment, while options include a front suspension lifter, privacy glass, panoramic roof, racing seats, ventilating and massaging seats, and even special fitted luggage.
