First Orders Of New Tesla Model Y "Juniper" Have Arrived In The Philippines

Tesla Philippines has formally introduced the newest version of its best-selling vehicle, the Model Y. This comes as they’re further expanding their Supercharger network in the country.

First announced in January 2025, the Model Y “Juniper” carries Tesla’s new cyber design. First seen in the Cybertruck, it features a new cross car lightbar at the front and the industry’s first indirect reflective body panel taillight at the back. A new rear diffuser reduces air resistance and optimizes the lift balance between the front and rear wheels. New wheel designs and a new colorway, Glacier Blue, complete the changes.

In addition to the refreshed styling, the new Model Y comes with a noticeably quieter cabin with double-layer glass for all windows and the panoramic glass roof. This new development also further cuts UV rays and heat entering the cabin up to seven times better than before.

Signature features found in the Model 3 such as ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and a second-row 8-inch touchscreen display for passengers are now available in the new Model Y as well. The Long Range variant comes with 15 speakers and 1 subwoofer, while the Rear-wheel drive variant comes with nine speakers.

The first wave of customers will benefit from the unique Launch Series upgrade. These include a customized launch badge at the rear, puddle light badge, and doorsill plate with ‘Launch Series’ wordmark. Apart from the exclusive exterior styling, the center charging console comes with a special launch design with silver accents, and an all-black vegan suede interior trim.

All customers that reserved the pre-refreshed Model Y in the Philippines previously will automatically be upgraded to the new Model Y at no extra charge. Two models will be made available for the local market with the standard range version priced at P 2.369-million, while the Model Y Long Range is priced at 2,689,000. All models will come with a complimentary home wall box charger.

The Model Y has rear wheel drive as standard and offers a 466-kilometer WLTP range. 0 to 100 km/h is done in 5.9 seconds. Meanwhile, the Model Y Long Range has all wheel drive and a 551-kilometer WLTP range. The Launch Series unlocks a sub-5-second 0 to 100 km/h time  (4.3 seconds). Both variants have a 201 km/h top speed.

The new Model Y will be on display at the Shangri-la Plaza Mall from today until March 9, 2025. Shangri-La Plaza Mall is also the next location chosen for Tesla’s V4 Supercharging Station. Four V4 Superchargers will soon be available for Tesla owners with DC fast charging prices set at P 19 per kWh.

    1. For now, yes. They're limited to Tesla models only using the CCS Type 2 plug. If you imported from the US (NACS) or China (GBT), you're out of luck.
