Former Ford Philippines managing director and current head of the International Markets Group, Kay Hart, will have a new role within the Ford Motor Company.
Hart, who led Ford’s International Markets Group (IMG) which includes the Philippines, to record profitability, will be appointed as general manager of Ford Model e—Ford’s EV division as part of a management shift.
She will report to Andrew Frick, the current president of Ford Blue, Ford’s internal combustion engine business. Frick will add leadership of the Model e division as well as the interim leadership of Ford Pro, Ford’s commercial division, until the company finds a new leader.
Hart was an influential member of Team Edison, which developed and launched the all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV and F-150 Lightning truck after her stint at Ford Philippines.
Sam Wu, president and CEO, Ford China, is taking an expanded role to include leading the International Markets Group. Wu will now oversee Ford’s business across ASEAN, South Africa, Australia, and the Middle East markets. Wu will leverage Ford’s export business to compete against Chinese automakers who’ve been aggressively scaling in these markets, Ford said in a statement.
