Kia To Expand Electrification Strategy As They Hint On EV4 Sedan, PV5 MPV

Kia is holding its second EV Day on February 27 and has confirmed its plans to show off production versions of the EV4 and PV5 as well as present the Concept EV2.

First shown as a concept in 2023, the production EV4 will be the brand’s first all-electric sedan and will join Kia’s all-electric range that’s currently composed of the EV3 sub-compact SUV, EV5 compact SUV, EV6 mid-sized SUV, and EV9 large SUV.

The Concept EV2, meanwhile, will likely be a sub-B segment SUV.

On the other hand, the PV5 is the first model under Kia’s Platform Beyond Vehicle or PBV. The PV5 is a people mover offering exceptional flexibility through design modularity.

The PBV platform is a game-changer says Kia in that the electric skateboard architecture allows for a flexible combination of various vehicle bodies.

Teasers from Kia hint at the EV4, PV5, and Concept EV2’s design. Each vehicle showcases aesthetics inspired by the brand’s Opposites United philosophy yet remaining unique and innovative to each one.

Together with the global reveal of these three vehicles, Kia will be outlining their expanded electrification strategy.
