Kia continues to release trickles of information ahead of its second Kia EV Day which will be held in Tarragona, Spain. After showing off the exterior designs of the EV4 sedan and hatchback, the Korean carmaker has now done the same with the PV5 Passenger and Cargo models.
Part of Kia’s new “Platform Beyond Vehicle” or PBV business strategy, the mid-sized PV5 can be configured to meet a wide range of usage needs. For now, the PV5 has been revealed in passenger and cargo configurations.
The PV5 features a geometric design with large glass areas (for the Passenger version) made possible by a low beltline. The window area is framed by a black graphic glass to contrast with the body color. The black geometric wheel arch claddings and rocker panels give continuity with Kia’s SUV line-up, while the bold lighting signature and black accents elevates its modernity. The body color stretches from the side to the rear, amplifying a horizontal stance and creating unified visual continuity of design.
The PV5 Passenger features a single lift-up tailgate door, set above a strong bumper that mirrors the protective corners at the front, while the PV5 Cargo has rear twin sliding tailgate doors allowing for easy access for loading and unloading.
Kia has the best EV design inside out, EV6 and EV9 looks very pretty good and also very techie
ReplyDeleteCompare that to the Japanese, Nissan's Leaf has not been a good performer even after the 2010s.
DeleteHyundai ang Kia vehicles have futuristic designs but most never grow on me. For most of their new vehicles when introduced for the first time, there is a bit of a shock and awe, but eventually it just does not seem like those futuristic looks would hold value for a long time (aka. non-classic look).
ReplyDeleteYeah semi retro classic looks aged well than futuristic one
