ACMobility has officially launched its mobile EV charging station (EVCS), Power-on-Wheels (POW). With POW, ACMobility provides easier access to fast charging, especially for those without nearby charging stations. Equipped with onboard fast DC chargers, POW allows EV owners to charge their vehicles with ease and flexibility—saving time by avoiding queues at public charging stations. They can charge conveniently from their dwelling (home or condo) or office location.

Power-on-Wheels is developed in partnership with Power Up Tech (P.UP), a Singapore-based mobile EVCS company operating in Singapore, Malaysia, and other Asian countries.

Multiple POW units will be deployed across Metro Manila, providing convenient and sustainable charging services in areas lacking stationary infrastructure.

Designed to cater to both full Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and select plug-in hybrids, all POW units can support fast DC charging, have a capacity of up to 120-kWh and are compatible with vehicles that have a CCS2 plug.

It will initially operating in select areas in Makati, Mandaluyong, and Taguig, POW units will soon be deployed to wider areas across the country.

POW services can be easily accessed and availed via the Evro app. Evro is ACMobility’s eMobility Service Provider partner that unifies the charging experience across the country through a single platform.

To cater to varying EV charging needs, POW also offers flexible subscription plans according to usage frequency: Light Duty, Commuter, and High Miler. These packages are tailored to different vehicle battery sizes and all comes with car care services, providing added value and convenience to users. They also allow additional top-ups called POW-ups and other additional vehicle services for a much more elevated charging experience. Through these pricing options, users can select the plan best suited to their charging preferences and budget while experiencing hassle-free service.

The POW subscription plans can be accessed through the Evro App via the ACMobility membership link. To purchase, users simply need to:

  2. this is also a great solution when you've suddenly ran out of juice with no chargers nearby (a very unlikely scenario but can happen) :)

Hopefully there will also be an option to request for one for such an event. Without having to book.....

  3. Another "positive" proof of the benefits of owning an ev. A roving power bank to give enough charge to get to the nearest charging station wait 4 hours and get home. How practical

    1. What? Are you being ridiculously malicious or are you just that plain stupid? Why will you go to a charging station if POW can charge your car to 80%, huh? Also, if you’re a responsible EV owner your home will be your main charging station. It’s fine to be an EV skeptic, but this is simply just pathetic.

  4. If ev runs out of juice in the middle of edsa, will this mobile charger charge it there impeding traffic for a couple of minutes. Or flat tow it to a more sensible place?

    1. Read the fine print: POW bookings must be made at least three hours in advance. Upon arrival, Power Tech technicians will verify the vehicle via its plate number and check the battery level. To ensure efficient charging sessions, vehicles will be charged to a maximum of 80 percent and must have at least 20 percent state of charge to be serviced.

It's not for emergency charging. Hyundai is the one that offers that service for their Ioniq line-up.

    2. I hope they will allow for emergency charging. That is very practical if they do that.
