The Chery Tiggo 5 (also known as the Tiggo 4 in other markets) celebrated a milestone by exporting its one-millionth unit. The ceremony happened at the Dalian Port, Dalian Free Trade Zone in China.

Since its global debut in 2018, the Chery Tiggo 5 has been sold in over 70 countries and regions. It’s been widely accepted thanks to its exceptional product quality and precise market positioning. As one of Chery’s “global models,” it has played a pivotal role in strengthening the brand’s international presence as well.

This year, the Tiggo 5 is set to enter the European market, marking a significant step forward in Chery’s journey to compete in the global automotive arena.

Staying true to Chery’s “global” philosophy, the Tiggo 5 has three core strengths for its class: safety, aesthetics, and user-experience.

The Tiggo 5’s exterior, designed by an international team, incorporates modern elements. The muscular body shape enhances the vehicle’s overall stylish appearance. Meanwhile, the interior features a wide layout with a minimalist center console. It also prioritizes safety, adhering to stringent global safety standards by utilizing an integrated cage body. It also comes equipped with multiple airbags that provide protection in the event of an accident.

Its safety has been reinforced by its five-star rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). The Tiggo 5 Pro there achieved high scores of 88 percent, 87 percent, and 85 percent in Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, and Safety Assist, respectively. It also achieved full marks in both the Side Impact and Far-Side Impact tests.

The Tiggo 5 joins the Tiggo 2, Tiggo 7, and Tiggo 8 models in surpassing the one-million-unit mark in global sales.
