Hyundai has once again managed to scoop up 18 iF Design Awards for 2025 across different categories, including automotive, user experience, campaigns (film & video), and even branding. This is the 11th consecutive year of recognitions for the Korean mobility provider.
According to SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai and Genesis Global Design, Hyundai’s accolades at the iF Design Awards is synonymous with its reputation as a design-driven leader.
“This recognition from iF Design Award is a testament to the exceptional dedication exhibited by our team of visionary designers and collaborative engineers. It highlights the remarkable competitiveness of Hyundai’s design identity within the global market,” said Mr. Lee.
Established in 1954, the iF Design Awards is a prestigious competition in the design world. Around 10,800 designs from 72 nations are evaluated every year. Winning requires passing a rigorous two-stage selection process, affirming a design's relevance and impact.
For 2025, Hyundai along with its Robotics Lab scooped up awards in eight disciplines and 12 categories.
In the automotive category, the two of its large SUVs, the Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Palisade managed to get the award.
With its perfect balance of aerodynamic performance, space and aesthetics, Hyundai calls the Ioniq 9 an ‘Aerosthetic Lounge’. Combining aesthetics and functionality, this model sets a new standard for luxury SUVs with its a sustainable, customer-centered approach. Meanwhile, the new Palisade manages to combine a bold presence with refined details and interior usability. This SUV redefines its segment with a unique exterior and a user-centered interior, merging versatility with luxurious design.
Other winners in that category include the Intium with its “Art of Steel” concept that shows a vision of Hyundai’s sustainable hydrogen-powered future as well as the Smart Taxi Indicator which uses a new installation method that doesn’t damage the vehicle, increasing installation convenience and reducing cost of ownership, while also improving visibility to passengers.
Hyundai also managed to be recognized for its Global Home Charger, E-Pit EV Fast Charger, SPACE (Spatial Curated Experience), DICE (Digital Curated Experience), and even something as mundane as the Multi-Hanger set—an accessory that can hold a tablet or coat hanger, and is attached to the headrest pillars.
