Lexus Philippines Announces Headlight Recall For 319 Vehicles

Lexus Philippines has announced a Customer Satisfaction Campaign for a total of 319 vehicles to inspect and, if necessary, replace the adaptive high beam system reflector on select models.

Broken down, the vehicles are:
  • Lexus ES – 130 units (production period: November 3, 2021 to May 26, 2023)
  • Lexus LS – 12 units (production period: November 5, 2020 to May 29, 2023)
  • Lexus LX – 36 units (production period: December 13, 2021 to May 31, 2023)
  • Lexus RX – 141 units (production period: November 16, 2022 to May 24, 2023)
According to the carmaker, the Adaptive High Beam (AHS) LED headlamps equipped in these cars may have cutting oil residue inside the headlamp. Combined with the high temperatures when the headlamps are turned on, it may cause the reflector to crack or detach from the motor over time. If that happens, a warning message will be displayed and the AHS function and High Beam itself may become unavailable.

To remedy the situation, Lexus or authorized Toyota dealerships will inspect, and if necessary, replace the Adaptive High Beam System Reflector to prevent the problems from occurring. These will be done at no charge to vehicle owners.
