Heading to Japan soon? Take a trip to Hiroshima to visit the partially renovated Mazda Museum. Since it opened in 1994, the Mazda Museum has welcomed over 50,000 visitors and a renovation, first made in 2022, in time for Mazda’s 100th anniversary, is now expanded with a more immersive experience than before.

Starting Tuesday, April 1, the Mazda Iconic SP, the brand’s latest rotary-powered concept car will join the display, in an area dedicated to the brand’s future vision.

Stereophonic sound has been added to enhance the depiction of motorsports historical events. Visitors are now able to experience the realistic recreation of cheers, excitement, and of course the screaming four-rotor engine of the 59th 24 Hours of Le Mans winning 787B.

Speaking of motorsports, a new exhibit focuses on Mazda’s motorsports efforts even as the brand challenges itself to go carbon neutral.

Finally, there’s a disassembled automobile that showcases Mazda’s proprietary Skyactiv technology.

The Mazda Museum is open daily except on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mazda company holidays. It’s free of charge with two tours a day: one in English (2:15 PM to 4:15 PM) and one in Japanese (9:15 AM to 11:15 AM). Advanced booking is required through this link.
