Tesla Expands Charging Network To 2 Additional Locations

Tesla Philippines continues the expansion of its supercharger network with new locations in Metro Manila.

Further enhancing the convenience and accessibility for Tesla owners in the country, the latest installations are located in Pasay City where four new V4 Superchargers are now operational at the South Wing along Ocean Boulevard of SM Mall of Asia. These chargers are located outdoors and accessible 24/7. These offer a peak charging efficiency of 250 kW—enough to give 120 kilometers of range in just five minutes of charging.

The Supercharging service operates on a pay-per-use basis, costing just P 19 per kWh—the lowest in the country for DC fast chargers. With that, it only costs P 1,140 to fully charge a Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive.

In addition, Tesla has also opened its first Destination Charging site in Quezon City, specifically at B1 Parking of the Eastwood Mall. These four destination chargers, meanwhile, have a charging rate of P 16 per kWh and operate at the mall’s operating hours.

The Tesla Destination Charging network is designed to be located at various venues such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, shopping centers, and other public places, ensuring that Tesla owners have easy access to charging stations while engaging in their daily activities.

Unlike charging other EVs, charging a Tesla is as simple as: Plug In, Charge, and Go. Each charging station is equipped with automated charger detection allowing the charging cover to open seamlessly. Tesla owners can then manage their charging experience through the Tesla mobile app including checking the availability of chargers, monitoring their charging status, and even payment.
