MG isn’t British. It isn’t Chinese either. With its new “Made Global. Made Great.” brand campaign, they’re now touting themselves to be a global citizen.

Although the MG brand itself is rooted in the UK with a history that spans over 100 years, MG Philippines says it has evolved into something much more.

“This campaign is more than just a tagline—it’s a reflection of who MG is today,” says Karl Magsuci, Vice-President for Operations of MG Philippines. “We are a global brand with British roots and a strong presence in over 20 countries. Through this campaign, we aim to reinforce our promise of innovation, quality, and driving excitement for every Filipino car owner.”

Part of the reason why MG calls itself global is its roster of international partners who’ve been instrumental in their vehicles’ development and manufacturing. These include:
  • Sanden Huayu (Japan) – aircon compressor
  • BorgWarner (North America) – EGR valve
  • Bosch (Germany) – brake booster system, fuel rail system, throttle body valve controller, steering system, ECM module
  • Gates (North America) – engine intake, belts, and timing components
  • Continental (Germany) – high-voltage wiring harness, insulators, seat system, interior floor insulation
  • CATL (China) – high-voltage battery
“By partnering with these global brands who have made a reputation by producing high-quality products, MG customers are assured that the vehicles they are getting are equally superior in quality and adhere to the highest global standards—a true testament of our brand promise: MG. Made Global, Made Great,” continues Magsuci.

In the Philippines, MG will offer these global vehicles rooted in a mix of sophistication and innovation be it powered by gasoline engines to future-ready electric mobility options.

    1. Make in China, cheap in price, because hindi swapang sa profit, they make thin profit and more product sale, many products nya ay value for money, especially sa branded cars like MG, Chery, Byd...
all quality China branded car is safety, they focus in safety, technology and durability. See their car chassis, kaha at bumpers nya puro makakapal metal, unlike Japanese car, malipis ang metal na parang lata.

  4. All automotive industry have part source from other companies, don't tell me cushion, ilaw, bolt and nut, etc ay sarili manufacture. even Airbus or boeing commercial airplane have more than 40% of its parts source globally.

  6. It is good that some, not all, China brands are helping push the prices of Japanese, European and American cars down by providing competition. I have to admit, though, some China cars are ridiculously expensive also.
