MIAS: MG Philippines Preview Diesel-Powered 2025 D90 7-Seater And All-New 2025 Hybrid ZS

After previewing the ZS PHEV last year, MG Philippines is continuing with its streak of previews (not launches) at the Manila International Auto Show. This time, the Sino-British brand brought in the all-new ZS and D90.

Like the G50 Plus, the MG D90 is basically a revived product from the now-defunct-in-the-Philippines brand Maxus. Brought in limited numbers before, the D90 returns from the grave with basically the same features as before—a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine (215 horsepower and 500 Nm) mated to an 8-speed automatic. The flagship variant, shown at MIAS, has a center and rear locking differentials.

The MG D90 sports a strong fascia with a giant gloss black grille. Inside, the tech has been leveled up thanks to dual 12.3-inch screens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Features found in the previewed model include an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, second row Captain’s Seats (an option for the Philippine market says MG), a 360-degree camera, and a 64-color ambient lighting system.

The D90 will sport a full ADAS system as well.

Joining the D90 on the other end of the SUV spectrum is the all-new MG ZS. Sporting a completely new design, the headline is the hybrid powertrain. Shared with the MG 3 Hybrid+, the ZS HEV has a healthy 196 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. And thanks to a 1.83-kWh lithium-ion battery, MG promises fuel economy of up to 25 km/L.

Style-wise, the MG HEV features the brand’s new sharp styling with aggressive bumpers and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it’s got a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power driver’s seat, 360-degree camera, and of course, the MG Pilot ADAS suite.
