MIAS: Suzuki Dzire Goes Hybrid With P 920K Starting Price (w/ Specs)

Share this on:

After electrifying the Ertiga and XL7, Suzuki Philippines adds a third member of its hybrid line-up with the launch of the Suzuki Dzire Hybrid at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

“We are proud to unveil the All-New Dzire Hybrid—a vehicle designed to give every Filipino a stylish yet practical driving experience. With advanced features, hybrid efficiency, and premium styling, it redefines what a compact sedan can be,” said Norihide Takei, Suzuki Philippines’ Director and General Manager for Automobile Division.

The all-new Dzire Hybrid showcases a more refined exterior with a redesigned front fascia, chrome-accented grille, and multi-light LED headlamps. Inside, the Dzire features a spacious cabin with dual-tone interior accents, improved ergonomics, and a driver-centric dashboard layout. The GLX variant is equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen display audio system—compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto—delivering both function and connectivity. Rear passengers benefit from ample legroom, AC vents, and a foldable center armrest for added comfort.

Under the hood is Suzuki’s new 1.2-liter Z12E 3-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a hybrid system and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This setup enhances both driving performance and fuel efficiency, while the hybrid system enables energy-saving features like auto start-stop and electric motor assist. Drivers can expect smoother acceleration and quieter operation—ideal for both city and highway drives.

Safety is a priority with the all-new Dzire Hybrid, with six airbags now standard across all variants—including front, side, and curtain airbags for comprehensive occupant protection. It also comes equipped with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hill Hold Control, and rear parking sensors with a camera. Combined with its reinforced body structure, these advanced safety features have earned the Dzire a 5-Star Global NCAP Safety Rating for Adult Occupancy, offering confidence and peace of mind on every drive.

The all-new Dzire Hybrid will be available nationwide at all Suzuki dealerships by the end of April, with prices set at P 920,000 for the GL CVT Hybrid and P 998,000 for the GLX CVT Hybrid.

  1. 1 Million Pesos for a small 1.2 liter sedan made in India 🤣

  2. What was Suzuki PH thinking with the pricing on this one? New base Dzire is even more expensive than the Vios XLE CVT and not much cheaper than the BYD Seal 5 and the recently unveiled Hyundai Elantra, all larger vehicles than the Suzuki.

  3. It's a 12 volt mild hybrid. Shame on CarGuide for not pointing out that very important fact

    2. Despite being one of the weakest hybrid in the market, it is registered with LTO to be a strong hybrid just like the Ertiga - hence coding exempted???

  5. That's way too expensive for that sedan kahit pa hybrid na yan. Naman suzuki ph oh!

  6. Battery Capacity: 0.072 kWh Lithium-Ion. (mild hybrid)

bruv, BYD Seal 5 DMI has 8kWh base variant and it's PHEV. Suzukis are doomed.

  7. Only people who are blind and naive will buy this. 1m for a teeny weeny hybrid. But probably emblematic for the Japs brands, they simply could not compete against Chinese brands. The worry for them is that they can't sales talk buyers about quality anymore as Chinese cars have improved a lot and have narrowed the comparison in quality.

  8. At 998K for the GLX, that's the price of the newly released Tiggo Cross, Kia Sonet EX, or Seal 5 Dynamic. Add less than 100K, you can get Hyundai Elantra base, or Lynk & Co 06 Origin SE. I supposed the GLX is aimed at fans of Suzuki who will patronize the brand regardless of the price.

  9. Will go the same way as the Celerio. Model change = absurd price.
