Have EV, will travel. SM Supermalls is touting its expanded EV charging network that now covers not just Metro Manila, but key areas in Luzon, Visayas, and even Mindanao.
Currently, SM Supermalls has 123 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) with 50 more planned to open by end of 2025. This expansion offers free charging at 69 SM malls, supporting eco-friendly journeys for northbound and southbound trips. Best of all? Their all currently free.
SM Supermalls has also garnered accreditation with the Department of Energy (DOE) as an operator of EV charging stations. This means that their EVCSes meet all pertinent national standards.
Here’s just how much their network has grown:
Heading to Baguio? You can top up at SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, or SM City Fairview before heading out of Metro Manila. Once you’re in the north, there are charging stations located in SM City Clark, SM City Rosales, and SM City Urdaneta Central. Of course, if your EV does make it up Baguio without recharging, there’s an EV charger located there too in case you need to top up for the trip back to Manila.
Even popular road trip spots like Tagaytay, Laguna, Batangas, and Legazpi are covered with EVCSes located in SM City Santa Rosa, SM City San Pedro, SM City Lipa, and SM City Legazpi. Skyranch Tagaytay even has their own EVCS. Further down, there are charging stations at SM City Naga and SM City Lucena if you’re heading to the Bicol region.
Eco-friendly travel is also much easier in the Visayas and Mindanao with charging stations now active at SM City Cebu and SM J Mall in Cebu, SM City Cagayan de Oro, and SM Lanang in Davao.
Thank you SM great job!
