BMW Philippines Launches 2 Series Active Tourer


BMW is entering into a whole new market segment with the Philippine launch of the first-ever 2 Series Active Tourer. Known as a staunch supporter of the traditional driver’s car layout—rear wheel drive—the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is the German brand’s first front-wheel drive vehicle. BMW Goes Front-Wheel Drive with 2 Series Active Sport Tourer...Wait, What?!


Call it blasphemy, but BMW has finally thrown in the towel and is introducing the brand’s first front-wheel drive vehicle. There’s good reason to BMW’s madness though: the 2 Series Active Sport Tourer wants to achieve “particularly high levels of versatility and functionality in the premium compact class”. In other words, BMW is doing that Mercedes-Benz did with the B-Class. Done and dusted.
