All-New 2025 Honda Amaze Could Preview Next-Generation Brio

Barely a month after Suzuki unveiled their all-new Dzire sub-compact sedan, Honda has done the same with the all-new 2025 Amaze. Although there’s a very slim chance this sub-compact will make it to the Philippine market, it will likely become the basis of the next-generation Brio.

This is the All-New, 2nd Generation Honda Amaze

There’s no love lost for diesel at Honda. Just as the rest of the world is turning away from using diesel in their cars, Honda is diving straight into the deep in, particularly in developing markets such as India. This time, it’s with the all-new, second-generation Amaze sedan.

I’ve driven it around Tagaytay Highlands. I’ve driven it around Bicol. You think I’ve said everything I could say about the Honda Brio Amaze, but I was wrong. This time, I bring Honda’s wonder sedan through its toughest test yet: the streets of Manila. This time, there’s no pre-determined route, no performance test, no fuel economy run, no media junket. For one week, it’s just me and the Brio Amaze. Can it transform my perceptions on what an entry-level sedan should be?

The barrier has been broken. The mold, reshaped. The standard, raised. Honda’s all-new wonder twins, the Brio and Brio Amaze, have impressed during its Tagaytay Highlands sneak peek last August before a grand unveil at the 5th Philippine International Motor Show. Now, a full two months later, they’ve finally thrown what’s left of the sub-B segment rule book out the window as they passed their first grueling test with flying colors.

PIMS 2014: Honda Reveals Brio and Brio Amaze Pricing (and Its Racing Heritage)

In a page seemingly lifted from their 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013 exhibit, Honda Cars Philippines decided to show off the brand’s racing heritage by bringing over not one but two motorsports inspired exhibits: the NSX Concept and the Japan Super Formula open-wheeled race car. Of course, they decided to use the Philippine International Motor Show to finally unveil their all-new Brio and Brio Amaze B-segment car.

The legendary Soichiro Honda once said, “A company is most clearly defined not by its people or its history, but by its products.” Today, the car company that bears his name, Honda, is known for putting engineering excellent above all else. In every segment they enter, they refused to be the copycat; instead they take the road less traveled in the pursuit of making their products uniquely their own. Having lost their engineering way in the early part of this decade, Honda is now starting to get back into the groove. The all-new Accord, City, and Jazz are all definitive signs of an engineering resurgence. And now, that continues down market with the introduction of the all-new Brio and Brio Amaze.
