Hyundai Philippines Sales Grow 21 Percent in February 2017
Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, continues its strong 2017 showing as it grew by 21 percent for the month February, or a total of 2,653 units sold, as compared to the same period of the previous year. This pushed accumulated January to February sales to 5,247, up by 15 percent as compared to 2016.

Peugeot 3008 is Europe's Car of the Year

A Closer Look at the 2017 Honda CR-V's i-DTEC Diesel Engine (w/ Video)
Set to headline this year’s Bangkok International Motor Show this month, Honda Automobiles Thailand has just confirmed that the all-new 2017 CR-V will finally be getting a diesel engine. The Bangkok Post reports that Honda’s compact crossover will employ a 1.6-liter i-DTEC engine producing 160 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. This is the first time a diesel engine will be fitted to a Honda vehicle in the Southeast Asian region and is a significant step to actually realizing a diesel-fed CR-V in the Philippine market.

Mitsubishi Motors Remains Bullish in Southeast Asia
In line with the roll out of its Philippine-produced Mirage G4, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has revealed bullish expansion plans in the Southeast Asian region. In a report by the Nikkei Asian Review, Mitsubishi is planning to broaden its dealership network across the region by 20 percent while doubling its workforce in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand by 2020.
