Toyota and Subaru to Jointly Develop A New All-Electric Compact SUV
Toyota and Subaru are going to expand their close cooperation outside the 86/BRZ model with the announcement that they will jointly develop a new platform dedicated to battery electric vehicles (BEVs) for midsize and large passenger vehicles. In addition, they will develop a new compact BEV SUV model for sale under each company’s own brand.

The Philippine Challenge for a Sustainable Transport Future
Fact: climate change has affected the conditions of most lives on the planet, human and nature alike. It has been proven that, along with other factors, nearly 69 percent of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions are caused by vehicle usage; modes of transportation that we use every day. While automobiles have made our lives so much more convenient and efficient (traffic, notwithstanding), it has become a detriment to the health and well-being of the planet. Add to that, the Philippines currently ranks 10th in world with the highest number of deaths attributed to air pollution, according to the 2019 State of Global Air report.

UPDATE 2: The 2020 Supra has been teased by Toyota Motor Philippines (6/8).

It looks like Toyota Motor Philippines is serious about adding a strong dose of sportiness to their line-up. After the 86, it seems the largest carmaker in the country will be introducing its new halo sportscar, the Toyota Supra as well.
