Want A Wilderness Edition Of The Subaru Forester? It's Happening

Not a fan of the GT Edition family? No worries. Motor Image and Subaru is giving the Forester the Wilderness treatment as well. This was revealed no less by Glenn Tan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Tan Chong International, the parent company of Motor Image, the distributor of Subaru at the Singapore Motor Show.

Motor Image is expanding the GT Edition line with the preview of the Crosstrek GT Edition. Once an exclusive variant for the Forester, the GT Edition expands to the Crosstrek as well. It will come to the Philippines by March or April, likely with a reveal at the Manila International Auto Show 2024.

Toyota Motor PH Removes Yet Another Vios Variant This January

Ford Philippines Confirms Bronco Is Arriving This 2024

After an inadvertent dealer leak made the rounds on social media this morning (which we got wind of first), Ford Philippines has now issued a statement on the Bronco. And yes, spoiler alert: they are confirming that it is coming to showrooms soon.

Two luxury subcompact crossovers are making their ASEAN debuts at the Singapore Motor Show. Porsche has smashed the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for EV sedans, lapping the 20.8-kilometer circuit in 7 minutes and 7.55 seconds. This is some 18 seconds faster than the previous record holder, the Telsa Model S Plaid with an optional track pack and 26 seconds than the Taycan Turbo S with the performance package.

Lexus enjoys one of the most loyal customer bases in the premium segment, and for the most part, the Japanese luxury carmaker is happy with that. However, as the brand is set for growth, they must change their attitude to win new segments, and in particular, a segment they haven’t played in until now.

Lexus may have been the pioneer when it comes to electrified vehicles, but they sure bided their time in coming up with a bespoke battery electric vehicle. However, faced with tightening emissions standards and a view of luxury centering around sustainability, it’s something they can no longer ignore. And with a promise to shift to 100 percent electric by 2035, Lexus needs to put a standard down—a measure by which they (and others) could see where the brand’s headed.
